About the Beer

Glenbar Lager is the first been produced in Australia using Australian made organic malt. Glenbar Lager is brewed and bottled by Paul Holgate from Holgate Brewhouse Woodend. Paul has a fantastic history for quality brewing and bottling.

Brewed using only malt, hops, yeast and water, the brewer avoids all preservatives, additives and filtration to ensure maximum flavour.

Non filtered, the beer is naturally carbonated leaving a yeast deposit in the bottle. Traditional beer making ensures purity of natural flavours and their qualities. No artificial colours, flavours, brewing sugars, hop/malt extracts, foaming agents, enzymes, pasteurization or growth hormones used.

Ingredients

Malt – The malt used in Glenbar Lager is grown and malted by Glanbar Lager using either Gairdner or Schooner barley varieties. Glenbar has both biodynamic and NASSA certification. Glenbar is proud of it’s purity and integrity of the malt and like the beer, it’s the first of its kind in Australia.

Bittering Hop – Pride of Ringwood, NASSA certified
Aroma Hop – Halletauer, BIO-GRO Certified Organic
Water – Local Mount Macedon catchment area
Yeast – Cultured and grown at Holgate Brewhouse
